Cline and Roo Code
Configure the OpenAI Compatible provider in either extension.

Cline and Roo Code are editor coding agents. Both expose an OpenAI Compatible provider for Chat Completions.
Before you start
Complete the Quickstart: add credits, create a key, and copy a model ID from Marketplace. Choose a model with tool support for agent tasks. The example ID is claude-sonnet-5-5; replace it with your selection. Install the extension you want to use in VS Code.
Configure the tool
Use the extension's settings panel on macOS, Linux, or Windows. This procedure does not require a hand-edited configuration file.
Open Cline's or Roo Code's settings.
Set API Provider to OpenAI Compatible.
Enter the following values.

| Model | Canonical ID from Marketplace, for example claude-sonnet-5-5 |
Use a starting Max Output Tokens budget of 4096 and set Context Window no higher than the model context shown in Marketplace. The current dashboard does not display each offer's output ceiling; reduce the output budget if the gateway returns an output-limit error. 4096 is an example client budget, not a guaranteed model limit. Enable image support only when the offer supports images.
Verify the connection
Ask: “Say hello in one sentence without using tools.” Then open Analytics → Requests. Find the new request by time and model. A response and a matching row confirm that traffic reached your account. This checks the connection, not the quality of repository edits.
Limits and troubleshooting
Roo Code requires native tool calling; a text-only model cannot complete its agent workflow. Values shown by an extension's cost estimate do not select an offer or determine your charge. Check the actual request in unused.market analytics.
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Authentication error | Re-enter your unused.market key. |
| No usable offer | Check Marketplace, Routing, and the key's allowed models. |
| Credit or budget error | Check Credits and the key's monthly limit; reduce the output budget if needed. |
| Stream stops after output starts | Find the failure in Requests. A started stream is not retried on another offer. |
